About the Production
A 20 minute production to open a Youth Conference, encouraging the audience to use their phone to interact with a LIA (Artificial Intelligence). She leads the show by directly speaking through the screen and interacting with the audience, making the experience inclusive and immersive. LIA asks questions that the audience can answer through their phones. The answers appear on giant screens. Videos are also launched on the audience’s phone. With the desire to incorporate live elements in the opening show, we invited a live painter and live band to punctuate the show. At the end of the performance, ballons were sent in the crowd while the band played live on stage. The challenge was to create a language for LIA that was short, precise and humorous; and to ask the 3000 young people to interact quickly while creating smooth transitions between the interactive and live elements of the show.
