KidsGames Hymne / Director

What IS KidsGames Switzerland?

A week ( 7-12 August 2022) of sports and fun activities with more than 2000 children between 7-14 years old, more than 500 staffs members, reunite in more than 18 regions of the French-speaking part of Switzerland. A dynamic opening to the Christian spirituality in the respect of each children, their beliefs and culture. In all their proposals, the KidsGames value teamwork and encourage each one to develop his or her own potential in addition to respect, friendship and mutual aid. There is a guarantee that every child is welcomed with respect to his/her origin, culture and religion.

These Olympics have been held every two years since 2004 and are organized in French-speaking Switzerland by a committee composed of a representative of each partner of the Association (more than 13 partners from various churches and Christian works: FJ Switzerland, Salvation Army, FREE, CJMS, Le Grand de Blé Foundation, LBB Switzerland, MADEP-ACE-Vaud, Catholique Churches, Protestant Churches, Reformed Churches, Mennonites Churches). The composition of the Association invites to a non-proselytizing approach. KidsGames wants to unite churches and Christian organizations and maintains good relations with local authorities and associations.

In each region, local committees are formed to organize the KidsGames, under the cover of the Association romande. This project is mainly organized by volunteers with confirmed skills. The KidsGames searches for sponsors and donors, as well as the partnership with the communes (if possible) allow the regions to maintain a very accessible price for the families.
